On 11 June 2019, the PETERKA & PARTNERS Warsaw office, in cooperation with the Embassy of the Czech Republic and the Belgian Business Chamber, organized a business breakfast devoted to the GDPR – an evaluation of it and some conclusions drawn after one year of it having been adopted.
The speakers were Marta Kafarska and Jakub Słodziński, Senior Associates, and the participants also discussed and assessed the GDPR implementation process, problems in applying the GDPR, and the approach of the Polish regulator (the Personal Data Protection Office). The discussion with the participants proved that despite over 12 months of experience with the GDPR, there is still uncertainty and that there are many practical problems with it within the private sector.
