In November 2018, Svetlana Todorova, Senior Associate and Deputy Director for Bulgaria, PETERKA & PARTNERS, attended a conference organized by IFA Bulgaria, the local branch of the International Fiscal Association (IFA), titled “The Future of VAT. Digital Economy”. The e-commerce package and the definitive VAT system, the EU proposal by the EU Commission on digital economy taxation and the digital services tax were among the main topics discussed at the conference. The speakers included representatives from the EU Commission, the OECD, professors from renowned European universities, judges and tax officials.
