Ioana is dedicated to several legal practice areas including corporate, commercial law, mergers and acquisitions, employment, and civil law. She has extensive experience in assisting international and domestic clients active in various industries such as transportation, consumer product manufacturing and industrial engineering, both in respect to cross-border transactions, and in relation to various day-to-day matters.Ioana co-manages the Bucharest office, currently occupying the position of Deputy Director for Romania. She is also the Leader of the Transportation and Logistics practice at PETERKA PARTNERS and is also a member of the firm's practices focused on antitrust and competition, data protection, labour law, and pharma and life sciences.
Since 2013, Ioana has been assisting a group, which is a market leader in the design, manufacture and distribution of branded apparel, with various matters, from day-to-day advice to assistance in respect of expansion on the Romanian market by means of the acquisition of a well-known local manufacturer of clothing, specializing in sportswear.
Since 2015, Ioana has been assisting one of the top ten global providers of transportation and logistics services in relation to day to day matters, from the implementation of new structures applicable at the group level and corporate red flag due diligence in respect of all of their subsidiaries in the CEE region.
Before joining the firm, Ioana cooperated with a domestic law firm where she focused on corporate, mergers and acquisitions, real estate transactions, and construction and development.
Ioana assisted an international group specialized in the production of luxury goods, in connection with the sale of its local factory in Romania through all of the phases of the transaction, from the negotiations between the parties, drafting the relevant transaction documents, to the final registration steps with the Romanian authorities.
