Professional Background

Eldar focuses on civil and commercial law, compliance, and dispute resolution, with a strong emphasis on complex cross-border matters. In addition to his legal practice, he has been involved in firm-wide coordination initiatives, supporting cross-border mandates with partner firms, participating in strategic development projects such as office expansions, and assisting with the onboarding of new colleagues and workflow integration.
Eldar is the Co-Leader of the Compliance and Regulatory practice at PETERKA PARTNERS. He is also responsible for the Firm's internal ESG initiative, coordinating the development of ESG tools, processes and client-facing materials across multiple jurisdictions.
He has represented clients in significant litigation and internal arbitration proceedings, including defending a major European bank in a multi-jurisdictional debt recovery dispute valued at EUR 22 million, and acting for European clients in sanctions-related arbitrations. He was also part of a team advising a leading Central European bank on structuring the Russian segment of an export-financing project.
Eldar spent nearly a decade in the firm's Moscow office, where he worked as a civil-law generalist and co-managed the office. In 2022, Eldar relocated to the Firm's Slovak office as Counsel.
