Ondřej focuses on mergers and acquisitions, startups and venture capital, and real estate law. He has over twenty years of experience advising domestic and international clients on complex transactions across the Czech Republic and other CEE jurisdictions.Ondřej became an Equity Partner of PETERKA PARTNES in 2006. At that time, he was appointed to lead the firm's Slovak office, a role he held for almost four years. He is currently the Leader of the Real Estate practice at PETERKA PARTNERS.
He is highly active in the startup and venture capital market. Ondřej regularly advises J&T VENTURES CGGC SICAV, a major Czech venture capital investment fund, on acquisitions and divestments of Czech startup companies at various stages of development. He has also advised a U.S. venture capital fund on the Czech legal aspects of the acquisition of Mews, a global provider of property management software for the hospitality industry.
Ondřej has acted as lead counsel on numerous major transactions, particularly in the real estate sector, as well as on industrial and technology projects. Throughout his career, he has been involved in a wide range of significant projects in the Czech Republic and other CEE countries, including advising Saint-Gobain on the acquisition of GLASS SERVICE, a leading provider of digital solutions for glass furnaces; Renault Retail Group on the sale of its Czech operations; Descours & Cabaud on multiple acquisitions in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, and VINCI ENERGIES on the divestment of its Czech trolleybus manufacturer to Škoda Transportation.
In real estate matters, Ondřej has advised developers on the development and sale of multiple administrative buildings and residential projects (totalling several hundred apartments) in Prague. He regularly advises on property law agreements, real estate disputes, permitting procedures, and the related administrative appeals and litigations.
Ondřej is actively involved in the Czech Bar Association and has been a member of the Bar's Controlling Board since 2013.
He is also a jury member of the biggest national competition for startup companies "Nápad roku" ("Idea of the Year").
