The PETERKA & PARTNERS Hungarian office held a successful business breakfast at the end of June in its premises in Budapest focused on reflections on the first year of the GDPR.
The first part of the seminar was led by our senior associate, Gergely Rendeki-Kovács, who spoke on the nature and most important features of the GDPR, as well as on the developments, news and experiences in both data protection legislation and practice over the last year in Hungary, with a special emphasis on the relevant sectoral legislation and amendments that occurred due to the GDPR.
The second presentation was by a guest, a colleague from the Hungarian Data Protection Authority, who gave valuable insight into the procedures of the authority, and detailed information on their approach and practices concerning personal data breaches.
