As of 31 March 2025, the Romanian Government introduced REGES ONLINE, the new General Register of Employees.
Key Highlights
• REGES ONLINE allows employees to access their employment data and download official extracts of their labour agreements.
• Originally, employers were required to register active contracts by 30 September 2025.
• On 19 September 2025, the deadline was extended — the new deadline is 31 December 2025.
• From 1 January 2026, the old REVISAL system will be fully replaced.
• Non compliance may result in fines of up to RON 20,000 (EUR 4,000).
