The European Commission has handed four car parts and car shipping cartels a total of €564 million in fines, after reaching settlements with all the companies accused of participating in the cartels. Among them, NYK, K Line, WWL EUKOR and CSAV were fined €346 million for participating in a roll-on roll-off vehicle shipping cartel. The EC also handed down €76 million in fines to Bosch and NGK for their roles in a spark plug cartel, and fined Bosch and Continental a total of €75 million for participating in hydraulic and electronic braking system cartels.
