Amendment to the Act on Collective Bargaining in Slovakia – A new amendment to the Slovak Act on Collective Bargaining (effective from 1 September 2017) returns the possibility of extending a “representative” higher collective agreement to other employers (which were not party to such agreement) doing business in the same economic sector/industry. This means that the higher collective agreement will be applicable to such employers even without their consent.
